How will the challenge run?

Challenge Programming. Over the course of 28 days, we’ll provide a step-by-step structure for how to tackle illustrating editorial comics; from story telling to character design, sketches, colour and final artwork and crafting your own brief.

Creative Briefs. Our guest art directors will each set you a creative brief and guide you through developing concepts, artwork and delivery with live critique along the way!

Daily Check-Ins. If you’ve had a chance to join Lisa for any of the courses or workshops she’s done in the past, then you know how valuable these check-ins are going to be. Think about them as a “daily accountability” to keep you on track.

Weekly Break-Out Rooms. Meet and connect with other members each week to share progress, troubleshoot and get feedback.

Final Showcase. Share your final illustrations with the group in a Zoom session hosted by Lisa at the end of the challenge.

Award Ceremony. Come together on our final day for our official award ceremony live stream, as we announce the lucky recipients of our mentoring spots and community prizes.

When does it start?

Our NEW 28-Day Illustration for Comics Challenge runs 11th November - 6th December 2024, with regular live streams, live workshop sessions and masterclasses hosted online on zoom.
